MINT, 1817 King George III Silver Shield Half Crown, Rare Large Head, NGC AU58. Very early and very rare Large Bust version (different to the normal design) of the 1817 half crown. Incredible details for a 200+ year old coin, especially in the very intricate shield design on the back, personally, these designs are much better than those on the full crown or sovereigns! Really is a work of art. This one is also grade by NGC, housed in a tamper proof case, so you know exactly what you are getting - a genuine, high grade coin.
Numismatics (coin collecting) is 90% about condition, a coin that's in bad condition will always be in bad condition, and will not appreciate in value like a high grade coin.
